Day 1

Arrival-City Tour

Arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. After breakfast at the hotel start the tour driving along Abovyan Avenue. Continue the tour in the Brandy Factory. Visit Erebuni Museum. Lunchtime tasting Armenian traditional food. After lunch start toMatenadaran, the depository of ancient manuscripts, enjoy the panorama of Cascade Monument. Visit Cafesjian Center for the Arts, enjoying the marvelous collection of glass, painting, sculpture, print and drawing. Proceed to Opera House visiting the roundabouts: State Conservatory, the Monument “Men”. The monument is devoted to a famous Armenian film called “Men”, and then visits Lake Swan, Monument of Aram Khachatryan, William Saroyan, Arno Babajanyan, Hovhannes Tumanyan. Visit the antique carpet’s shop and food market. Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2

Yrevan-Jermuk (lunch)-Kechut (*option lunch with lunchboxes)-Gndevaz village-walk to Gndevank-Camping

After breakfast at the hotel drive to Jermuk, the spa town of Armenia. Jermuk is famous for its mineral water springs. Lunch tasting traditional Armenian dishes (*option lunch with lunchboxes in Kechut). Continue the tour to the village of Gndevaz. Visit the monastery of Gndevank, the pearl of Vayots Dzor. Camping in the village of Gndevaz.

Day 3

Gndevank-Artabuynk village-Smbatabered-Tsaghats Kar Monastery-Zorats Monastery-Eghegis village-Shatin village-Camping

After breakfast with lunchboxes in the camp drive to the village of Artabuynk. Later proceed to Smbataberd Fortresswith deep gorges on three sides. Proceed hiking to Tsakhats Kar Monastery. Lunch tasting traditional Armenian dishes. Continue hiking to Zorats Monastery. Proceed to Yeghegis village where you can admire the wonderful panorama of high mountains, deep gorges and enjoy the noise of the Yeghegis river. Later drive to Shatin village to walk to Shatin Monastery. Camping nearby.

Day 4

Shatin village-Bear’s or Mozrov cave-Noravank-Bird Cave-Yerevan

After breakfast at the camp go back to Shatin village. Then drive to Bear’s caves or (option Mozrov caves). These extraordinary formations and the stunning passageway are situated in the depth of 300 meters. The exquisite stalagmite and stalactite formations exhibit astonishing change of colors setting this cave apart from the others in the world. Drive to the splendid monastery of Noravank. Lunch tasting traditional Armenia dishes (*option lunch with lunchboxes near the monastery). Visit the Bird Cave near Noravank. Drive to Yerevan. Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 5

Yerevan-Geghard-Garni-Havuts Tar-Camping

After breakfast at the hotel drive to the Monastery of Geghard (12-13th c.c.), the cave monastery. Hike to the direction of Garni Temple – a pagan temple of Hellenistic architecture. Lunch with lunchboxes tasting traditional Armenian dishes. After lunch hike to the direction of Havuts Tar Monastery (11-13th c.c.). Dinner and camping.

Day 6

Havuts Tar-Lmbatavank-Kaqavaberd-Yerevan

After breakfast at the camp drive to Lmbatavank (7th century) – quite an unusual church for Armenian architecture. Hiking around to enjoy the wonderful nature and fully breathe the amazingly pure air. Lunchtime with luchboxes tasting traditional Armenian dishes. Continue the tour to Kaqavaberd – an impregnable fortress. Drive to Yerevan. Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 7

Transfer to the airport. Departure.
